Worst Case

What’s the worst that can happen? You’re first answer should be “I could die”, but really, is that even a possibility? Probably not, so moving on- what’s the worst that could happen? Write them down. You’ll likely start with the most negatively impacting scenario and as you go, get more and more insignificant and trivial.

The point of this exercise is to lay out your fears. Often times our fears are merely self-fabricated scenarios that are over-dramatized in order to keep us in our comfort zone. We’re genetically wired to seek out comfort. But, we all know not much of extraordinary proportion takes place there.

Take the job. Ask her out. Start the business. Travel solo. Write the letter. Get up on stage.
